CLAS Academic Reform Committee Call for Membership Applications

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is looking for students who would be interested in serving on the Academic Reform Committee.  As committee members, you would have the opportunity to examine and improve educational policies and programs in the College and contribute your voice to education reform initiatives.  The Academic Reform Committee is a student-run organization working in cooperation with the Office of the Dean. To apply, fill out the Application for Membership here and attach it, along with your résumé and a letter of interest addressed to the CLAS Academic Reform Committee explaining your interest in serving on the committee and what aspects of undergraduate education within the College need improvement.

This semester’s Gender and Women’s Studies Faculty Research Seminar will take place next Wednesday, March 16, at noon in Falvey 205.  English department professor Crystal Lucky will be giving a talk entitled “The Power of Mystery in the Autobiography of Charlotte Riley.”  A light lunch will be served.

American Association for Cancer Research Internship Opportunity

The American Association for Cancer Research Foundation Special Events Team is looking for an intern from March 2016 through October 2016, and we have been told that they “are looking for a strong writer, and someone who is well organized and adaptable to various projects.”  Those projects include their runDisney programs, the AACR Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, and a new AACR spin series, Spintensity 200.

The listing of the internship isn’t on Handshake yet, but should be up shortly.
