Be part of the English department's 2018 London Experience...

and see Charleston, the Bloomsbury Home of Art & Ideas!


The London Experience is an eighteen-week overseas study program that combines small academic seminars taught by a Villanova English professor (next year, Prof. Megan Quigley) with classes offered by the Arcadia University London Centre, Queen Mary University, Goldsmiths University of London and City University.  The program uses the whole city as a classroom.

Reading for Unity

Reading for Unity is seeking students from local schools to read published works (or excerpts from published works) foregrounding themes of social justice. If you're interested in participating, please choose your  excerpts or pieces in consultation with Villanova English professor Alan Drew (alan.drew@villanova.edu).  The pieces must be able to be read within a 5-7 minute time frame. The work of novelists, poets, artists, politicians, philosophers, religious thinkers from past and present are all possibilities.  Please contact Prof. Drew with any other questions you might have.

Jordan Dillard and Shooting Touch

Every year Shooting Touch, a Boston-based organization, sends fellows to Rwanda for 11 months to aid the Basketball Health Corps in a number of different outreach programs for local youth.  English major and Women's Basketball team member Jordan Dillard is one of the finalists for this year's program;  watch her application video here.
