Fall Internship Opportunity: Macmillan Publishers

Villanova English alum Kelly Moran, now a publicity assistant at St. Martin's Press, just alerted us to some exciting internships that Macmillan Publishers (which own's St. Martin's) is offering at its offices in New York City (see below). This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in publishing.

Kelly says that the internships are not just for her department, though if you are interested in doing publicity for St. Martin's Press, then you should mention on your cover letter. She also says she's happy to answer any questions about the internships. You can reach her at kmoran20@villanova.edu.

If you would like to pursue this opportunity for credit, you will have to get credit certification from Charlotte Holmes in the Office for Undergraduate Studies. You can reach her at charlotte.holmes@villanova.edu.

"Macmillan is currently offering paid internship opportunities for Fall 2019. Internships are available in areas such as: Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, Art & Design, Sales, Production, Children’s Books, and Business Development. Please specify your areas of interest in your cover letter.

Interns will be provided with the opportunity to participate in work related assignments, gain practical work experience, and network with employees from various departments. Overall, the intern will become familiar with the basic structure of a publishing house and the role of each department within.
