Congratulations to 2019 Award Winners and English Honors Society

The department held its annual awards ceremony in the Driscoll Auditorium on Friday afternoon. Among those honored were Avni Rejpal, who received the Margaret Powell Esmonde Memorial Award for the year's best graduate essay; Gracie Stagliano, who won both the department's Medallion of Excellence and the Jerome J. Fischer Memorial Award for the best undergraduate essay; Meg Carter, who received the George D. Murphy Award in Creative Writing; and Audrey Gibson, who won the English/Honors Creative Writing Award.

Also celebrated were the members of the 2019 English Honors Society (pictured below). Congratulations everyone!
