Professor Jean Lutes will participate in a virtual event, "May 5 and Beyond," featuring writers and artists whose work has been inspired by Nellie Bly, late 19th-century stunt journalist. Brooke Kroeger--author of a 1994 biography of Nellie Bly that set the stage for contemporary scholarship--has organized this international virtual event.
Professor Lutes's two Bly-related books, Around the World in Seventy-Two Days and Other Writings and Front-Page Girls, appear in the promotional material.
